    Having been meditating for 7 1/2 years, I was very comfortable with the Sound Bath approach.  For example, focusing on breath is a standard guideline and practice of meditation.  What I discovered, however, was that focusing on sound was almost effortless in comparison to focusing on breathing.   

    Granted, thoughts are ubiquitous.  Yet, the sounds of the bowls are so grounding that the thoughts, though noticeable, became nearly imperceptible, allowing a me to experience concentrated and soothing energy releases throughout the body check.
